Individuals with severe Factor V deficiency frequently experience mucocutaneous bleeding which often does not correlate with the degree of coagulation factor deficiency. Fresh frozen plasma remains the mainstay of therapy in the absence of a specific coagulation factor replacement product for these patients. A discussion of your experiences caring for individuals with severe Factor V deficiency would be appreciated.
